motherboard issues?

i hold a comqaq comp. its a presario 6000 series. It restarts for no reason regularly. People are telling me it the motherboard and something something like BIOS or something like that? I did a system recouping on it and it didnt help. What can i do to fix this problem is within anything i have to updated or download to fix it?

Yeah, you can flash the BIOS.

Search for an update for your motherboard.

Or try going into the BIOS, by pressing f8 at the black start up peak, and look for "restore default settings".

And don't forget to free, before exiting.
When it restarts, in recent times do all of your work really quick so you'll be done before it restarts again.

At what point does it restart?

Before or after it boots into Windows?

Does it reboot when you let it run contained by Safe Mode?

Does it reboot if you let it run while surrounded by the BIOS setup?

How long does the computer run before rebooting?

Does the power supply smell adjectives?

Have you checked to make sure adjectives of the computer fans are spinning?

Does the satchel feel hot inside?

Have you tried turning the computer on and letting it run beside just the RAM and processor and power supply attached?
