My CD-Rom will read but not write. When I try to access a disk it say not accessable but all the same it will read.?

It will read a disk that be made before if it have autorun. But when I go to My computer and click on it, it say not accessable. DVD drive won't read CD's. I'm wondering if the two problems are related. I tried uninstalling and reinstallin with same results.
