when i double click on my desktop and on my device chief my coursier blink but never gives me the hourglass! HELP ME PLEAZE

sounds similar to a nasty virus I have a while ago.
try other ways of getting there, control panel, my computer, even ms-dos. is the application itself still in attendance ?
(Like registry editor is C:/Windows/regedit.exe; but look for device manager (not sure the exact dub and path))
I would start backing up your critical information in skin it is a virus.
I'll bet if you re-image the pc it will work fine.
