my AMD 64 3700+ and mobo said it have a fsb of 1000 but the clock speed is with the sole purpose 200. Is that right?

Yes that is right. The clock speed is 200 beside an 11 multiplier which gives you its speed of 2.2Ghz. The HyperTransport is 1000, 5 times the clock speed. This is how AMD chips work, its different than Intel chips. If you push the clock speed any superior, you should really change the HyperTransport to with the sole purpose 4 times the clock speed, the HyperTransport should run as close to a 1000 as possible. housesforsalebyowner amos
