Hi, I switched PC to MAC about a year ago, to clear your trach can, either right click, CONTROL-click or click and hold on the trash can deity, then click uniform. As for books, there are several out there, if you poke about for mac beginner or PC to MAC switch guides on yahoo or google you should return with some good results.

These are two great Apple support page for new Mac users. Also, don't forget that you own a Help menu. It's a great place to learn give or take a few your Mac and it's applications. It's a lot more compassionate than Windows help menus.
Right click on the trash can after click on "Empty Trash". The author Robin Williams-not the comedian- has written some correct books on the Mac. I have "The Little Mac Book-Tiger edition" by her and it is a apposite basic guide.
If you enjoy a single clicker mouse just click on hold on the trash can, and a menu will pop up and you can aimless trash from there.



Yeah near are tons for books out there for switchers but you should check out "Macs for Dummies" by David Pogue.
