Mac OSX G3 resolution too high-ranking cannot display video mode.?

i have a Mac G3 (not a notebook). I be using it up at a friends who had a 19 LCD eyeshade capable of remarkably high resolution. Anyways, i presently am trying to use it on a 15 LCD and it says Cannot Display This Video Mode. The resolution on the mac is set up WAY too elevated for this screen to manipulate. I can view the system until it asks me to log surrounded by, then it say the Cannot display message. How can i reset to the default resolution? As of this time i do not hold access to my friends Hi-Res screen. If adjectives fails i will try to procure to it, but is there any other means of access short of re-installing OSX? thankyou. 10 points to the best answer.

Reset the PRAM. Option, Apple button P&R hold it while you turn on your computer. first press all the buttons afterwards turn the computer on. You will hear the little noise the ordinary boot noise. Continue to hold the button. When you hear the boot hubbub again let the three buttons jump. Good Luck
Well, the prev answerer almost got it right.



Do a PRAM reset start up. Start Up holding down the Command, Option, P & R key. Hold them down until you hear four bongs. Should reset the resolution to default. Will reset some other things also.
