I am planning to build a computer for myself using AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200 + processor on a Asus M2N - E Mobo. i cant amount out which memory will be the best one for this system. i want to install atleast 2GB (1 GB x 2 DDR2 667mhz). can anyone recommend any brand of memory for my system? i have see most of the people using any Corsair or Patriot, but the problem is i cant find either one of them contained by the retail store (bestbuy or circuit city). the only ones i can find here are kingston or OCZ. i am using kingston right presently in my dell desktop and within my compaq laptop but they both are DDR. so far they are working flawlessly but i am not sure if they will be best for my AMD setup. any suggestions, advices or ideas? thank you adjectives.
Memory for Asus M2N E Motherboard?
those ram brands will work fine, merely make sure it's the right size and type for your computer-amd socket 939 uses 184 pin DDR,not ddr2/amd socket am2 uses 240 pin DDR2. try shopping at newegg.com, they own all types of hit and somtimes better prices than bestbuy, circuit city or office depot ect. I own one stick ocz and one stick gigaram in my laptop that i got from newegg-it works fine.
